FOOD : GARDEN PASTA TOSS

.

Only over the last few years have I come to like pasta salad. Before this I was kinda was turned off by the idea of mixing things about in mayonnaise and eating an odd pasta concoction. This recipe from "Velveeta Creative Cooking" is a bit cheeser than normal pasta salad which may just have pushed me to changed my mind about pasta salad. Enjoy!

GARDEN PASTA TOSS
Approx. 35 Minutes // Serves 6 - 8

Ingredients
2 cups (6 ozs.) corkscrew noodles, cooked, drained
2 cups zucchini slices, halved
½ cup chopped red pepper
8 crisply cooked bacon slices, crumbled
3 hard-cooked eggs, coarsely chopped
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon pepper

¾ lb. VELVEETA Pasteurized Process Cheese Spread, cubed
¾ cup KRAFT Real Mayonnaise
3 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons KRAFT Pure Prepared Mustard

Directions
1.) In large bowl, combine noodles, zucchini, peppers, bacon, eggs and seasonings; mix lightly. 2.) Combine process cheese spread, mayonnaise, milk and mustard in saucepan; stir over low heat until process cheese spread is melted. Add to macaroni mixture; mix lightly. Cover; chill. Mix lightly just before serving. Serve on lettuce-covered platter, if desired.
