Love the collar, those nail, that ring! The hanging plant is pretty fabulous too. There's a DIY tutorial that coincides with it so make sure to click on the link below for step by step direction to make your own pretty planter. And where oh where might this beautiful place be? In Sintra, Portugal and it's called the Quinta da Regaleira. This is part of the palace grounds and boy isn't it amazing! I love how the green moss has slowly covered the walls and adds and ombre of color. Happy Thursday sweet friends.

Thank you to all who entered The Paraders Giveaway and a huge thank you to Rachael who offered up such a generous gift. We appreciate all of your support and a big congrats to comment number 15, Joni, who was the winner of this giveaway. Thank you all again so much and Joni when you have a free moment please email me to claim your prize.

It's been a very long time since I've rode or even owned a bicycle. I've been on the hunt for one for quite some time but have been having the hardest time finding that perfect one. Over the weekend we went out on the hunt to 6 different bike shops but sadly they were all to tall for this short gal, or not at all in a style which appealed to me, or way above our budget... so I turned to online. It took a bit of hunting and I came across a bunch I loved but didn't seem to fit the bill... but if you visit me on IG you probably could guess which one I ended up picking (number 6 in cream!), and happily ordered late last night, and now impatiently am waiting for. With the weather cooling off we're excited to be outdoors more and are going to start teaching the kiddos how to bike ride. Do you enjoy bicycling? What does your bike look like?

While in Florida we did a little date event with each of the kiddos and their grandparents to give them some one on one time. Myself, my dad and Wyeth travelled out to play mini golf which was Wyeth's first time playing and he loved it and even impressed us with 2 hole in ones. At he same time the mister, Penelope and my mom hung out at the house and did a little beauty salon date. Penny absolutely loves getting her nails (and toenails) done and my mom loves doing nails so it was a perfect little event. The mister snapped a few photos which can see her excitement? She loved it! I love this age where the kiddos are currently at. It's all about the little things which leave them with fun stories and happy smiles.

Isn't this vintage collection of hair combs amazing! There wasn't much for info about of these lovelies, just a few dates which noted that they date circa 1890 - 1925. I believe most of these are plastics with tiny rhinestone or metal detailing (don't quote me on that though). I would love to style my hair in a pretty up do with one of these beautiful pieces. The one on the bottom left is surely my favorite. Do you collect or accessorize your look with a pretty hair comb? Happy Monday, hope your weekend was fabulous.

While in Florida, we arranged a few special activities to do with the kids, one of which was to visit Mote Marine Aquarium. We had visited it last year while on vacation and the kiddos really loved it, so we decided prior that we would have to make a visit to it again this year. The mister, myself, plus the kiddos include are huge lovers of sea life (fish, jellies, sharks, etc.) and if you are a fan too, an in the Sarasota area you surely need to stop by this cute place. A few snapshots from our morning at the aquarium. Enjoy!

As most of you know I took a much needed break from blogging... well, let me rephrase that... I took a break from the internet in general. It's nice to unplug every now and again and as we planned for months of our trip to Florida I decided what a perfect time for a break. I really didn't want to spend my vacation surfing the net while we could be outdoors enjoying family time, so instead of a computer we (the mister too) carried camera's and snapped as many photos as we possibly could of our time together. Now call us crazy but we drove the long haul to Florida and ya know what, it went surprisingly well. The kiddos were amazing in the car, with not one "are we there yet?" until we past 1000 miles and it wasn't even a real whine, it was more of a few questions from Wyeth about when could we get out of the car and to the beach? We drove through some beautiful states and some some interesting sights. Our time off was 18 days, though 4 of them were driving, but it was so worth it and we would surely do it again. Now for some photos... as I uploaded both camera's to the hard drive we counted over 700+ images yikes! Though I would never come anywhere near sharing this many photos with you (because that's even far to many for myself to fathom) I want to share a few snapshots and words of what we did every day or so to give you a peek into our travels and time off. Hope you enjoy them all. :)

  • Florida palm trees (top image)
  • Mapping out the drive with the kiddos
  • Car ride doodles
  • The mister drove the whole way there. What a guy!

  • Mushroom spotting at a rest stop
